Chapter Seven

As soon as Colburn and the Davidson siblings left, Quarantine pursued him. Marvin took one step back, and Quarantine inched a little closer. They were playing the game, and they both knew it. Marvin gazed into his eyes. “I heard that your party had been indefinitely postponed and was told the news had been sent by couriers. I—”

“You avoided the messengers.”

“I did.”
